We all know what a ladder is used for and most times we hear people say that someone must definitely be at the bottom of the ladder. This actually stems from the fact that life itself has been termed to be like a bottle and they say that the higher you go up in the bottle, the tougher it is to stay there and the more the struggle and the stress that comes with staying higher up there to be able to get the best of the air that comes into the bottle. This again would be clearer to you if at one time or the other you have heard the statement that it is really tight and competitive at the top

For the purposes of this article, I would like to visualize that we all climb that bottle by the help of that all important ladder. As you make major strides and marks in life, you advance further up the ladder and the more you look down at the ladder, you see the number of people trying to advance further up and that itself keeps you in check to ensure that you are doing enough to keep on climbing. When you feel that you are at the top, then it’s even more dangerous because up there, there is no support like when you are at the middle of the ladder.
So daily, the hustle continues and we all do our best to keep on climbing as there is a lot of fun when you are up there and less fun when you are down there but while you are down there, there is some measure of comfort you can get while trying to get up the ladder. This is because the world is fast paced and while we are doing all we can to get to the upper layers, we can actually enjoy our way up there. Think of that ladder this way, even though you are not where you want to be now, you are somewhere and you are not resting but still trying to get your way up there.

Contrary to what most people think, you are not at the bottom of the ladder and this is because there are some who have not even gotten to the ladder yet. They are still trying to find their way to where the ladder is; that you have found the ladder is something to cheer about. Next time you think you are at the bottom of the ladder, please encourage yourself by looking around and see how many people are still trying to find their way to the ladder then look up at the few that are up in the ladder and climb with greater focus and grace.

Still confused? Appreciate where you are and then advance with style is all I am trying to say.
Have a great week ahead.
